Here's a great article with some good info on Port Jeff from a local boating rag. There's a link to each of the 3 pages in the story...

Just in case some prefer to moore or dock instead of anchoring here are the contacts.

Dockage. Danfords restaurant, hotel and marina: http://www.danfords.com

Moorings: Setauket Yacht club: http://www.setauketyc.com
Port Jefferson Launch Service 631-689-8262

They all take reservations. Setauket YC includes use of their grounds and launch service.

Port Jefferson launch service includes launch service (of course) but no facilities on land.

They are all at the end of the harbor, extremely close to town.

Kind of far away from the anchorages but still not a bad dink ride.

Been awhile since anyone's posted here about this. How about it?

Ron and I had hoped to make by tagging along on Cliff's boat, but it just didn't work out. Oh well, that's life. One of these days I'll make it to one of the raft ups. I'm really jealous of all of you that live close enough to go on your own boats. Have fun. Post lots of pictures.
